Swan-Matic Repairs and Services

Swan-Matic Cappers last a lifetime, but occasionally need refreshed after excessive wear and tear. If customers want the peace of mind of having a factory technician evaluating their capper, sending it to our factory is always an option. Swan-Matic offers several options for revitalizing your capper to operate and look like new.

1. Preventative Maintenance Inspection

This plan is an inexpensive way to maintain your Swan-Matic capper. Your Swan-Matic capper will be given a wear analysis test from our highly trained staff.

  • The gear oil will be changed, the clutch disassembled, cleaned and repacked with fresh grease.
  • The spindle shaft will be polished and a new double seal will be installed.
  • The motor will be tested for amp draw and RPM.
  • Finally, the column and gear rack will be removed, polished, reinstalled and re-aligned.

2. The Big Overhaul

This plan gives your Swan-Matic capper a complete restoration. It includes everything listed in plan #1 plus a complete breakdown of your Swan-Matic Capper.

Replacements include:

  • A new bearing, tensioner spring, bushings, nylon washers and cam bearing studs
  • Realignment of the motor coupling
  • A reset the pushrod and switch timing, motor brush inspection, controls circuit board inspection, current safety labels and complete resealing of the entire housing.
  • Once reassembled, the entire system will be repainted.

Electronics Upgrades

C302E Controller Upgrade. This is an upgrade to the latest in electronics for your current capper.

  • Additional problems uncovered during inspection may incur additional costs.
  • Cappers sent in for refresh should be completely drained of oil prior to shipping to prevent leak damage. All cappers will be tested prior to shipping and returned with fresh oil for customer's installation.
